Piano Care & Maintenance Guide
✅ Keep your piano in a healthy environment
• Keep the room temperature stable and comfortable
• Avoid extreme heat or cold
• Ideal humidity level: 40% – 50%
Do NOT place the piano near:
-
windows
-
heaters or fireplaces
-
air vents
-
direct sunlight
Sudden temperature or humidity changes can seriously damage your piano
💧 Humidity is very important
Pianos are made mostly of wood.
High humidity can cause:
-
sticky keys
-
swelling wood
-
tuning instability
Low humidity can cause:
-
cracks in the soundboard
-
loose tuning pins
-
action and regulation problems
A room humidifier or dehumidifier is strongly recommended
🧽 Cleaning your piano
• Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth only
• Never spray any cleaner directly on the piano
• Do not use alcohol, glass cleaner, or chemical products
For the keys:
• Wipe gently with a clean, slightly damp cloth
• Dry immediately with a soft cloth
